My passion in life

Football is one of my interests that can be termed as my passion. There are a few other things but if I have to choose between football and all of those put together..... well the answer will be obviously football. And I'm not just talking about the watching part. If I have a football and some place to play, I won't be able to stop myself from playing even if the opponent is just a tree or a wall!
So we had our Inter house football tournament three days ago and I was the captain of Red house which was in the finals. I had waited for this day since the day I had noticed the sports schedule in the school diary on the first day of the session. Interestingly this was the first time that our team had reached the finals so I was full of determination and was ready to get on the field. I had planned everything about our positioning and the game-play around 20 days ago when we had won the semi-finals. Many of the players thought that I was crazy as every time I used to see them in school, all I talked about was football. They might have called me crazy but I know that I was determined.
Finally the day came and I was ready for the game. It was nice to see the students coming up to the field to watch the game. After 10 minutes of warm up, the game started. As usual I was playing at my position i. e. the right wing. We kicked off and the mid-fielder passed me the ball and I was open so I took the ball ahead till the opposite post but as I wasn't at a nice angle so I passed the ball to our striker who scored and all this took less than 30 seconds. A huge roar came from the students as the ball went in. Then we thought of defending for a while and soon the referee blew the half time whistle. It wasn't hard to keep them away from our post so I decided to go on to attack again in the second half to seal the deal. The opposing team got a corner and almost everyone of them came inside our 18 yard box but the ball was kicked away by our defender and when the striker got the ball, there was no one to stop him so he went all the way to score and I was right besides him in case he needed some help.
We won the game 2-0 and got the gold medal as well. It might not have been a very big achievement for some other players on the team but I took this tournament very seriously. So it mattered a lot to me to win it.
I sometimes get comments from my classmates that I treat even a simple match during our games period like a matter of life and death and well it's sort of true as well. But I believe that if you're playing as a part of the team, give your best at every level whether thats the world cup final or a match during the games period.
Everyone thinks differently but I do know one thing for sure.... Trying isn't a crime!!

There is no one in this world who doesn't have his special moments in life. There are hundreds that we all cherish but there are some that are the closest to our heart. Securing the 1st rank, winning an award are some that we all cherish but there are some simple ones that seem less important to others but change your life. Those are the true moments of your life. When a friend of mine asked me to write about this, I thought of the possible things I could write about and I came up with a few things I believe have changed my life or inspired me.
1. The first look at my nephew.
This was when I was in class 7. We went to Delhi to see my real nephew. I was really excited as I had never seen such a small baby ever in my life before as I was the youngest in the family till then. I still remember his eyes as he was exploring the room when we entered the room. It was a very special moment for me and my family.
2. First song in front of an Audience.
The next moment is the one that inspires me a lot. I was in class 8 and there was a substitution in our class. The teacher was asking students to sing songs for passing the time. I had always been mad about music but never performed in front of anyone, mostly because of fear. That day something took over me and I finally put all the fear aside and stood up. It went nicely and I managed to survive too. But the best part is I lost my fear and have performed twice in front of the whole school.
 3. Something I look forward to..
This is something that hasn't happened yet but will happen within an year or so. I'm talking about my sister's marriage. I have no idea how I would feel but I'm sure that it will be a feeling I would never forget. I would miss her. I am also sort of confused whether I'll be happy or sad. My sister has always been there for me. She is more like a friend than a sister.
